A cross-cultural platform dedicated to showcasing the diverse ethnic heritage of China’s Yunnan province through contemporary music, live performance, craft, exhibition, and storytelling. From sound to stage, from hands to heart, we bring together traditional voices and modern expressions across borders.

Our mission is to connect communities through shared stories and immersive experiences, with a strong focus on underrepresented cultures from Southwest China.

Since 2024, we have curated festivals, exhibitions, and workshops in the UK and China, collaborating with musicians, designers, and storytellers from both regions. We are committed to co-creation, sustainability, and building long-term platforms for cultural exchange.

MIAO’S VOICE Time: 4.20pm-4.30pm

Based on research conducted in regions with Chinese ethnic groups and in London, the artist Yihan Wang embarked on an art practice that led to the creation of a series of works titled 'Miao's Voice' using various media. This series encompasses photography, film, book design and performance art. This performance art is an extension of the series, featuring live performances in diverse cultural contexts and exploring the complex relationship between identity and cultural integration in a global context.

CRAFT YUNNAN Workshop Drop-in Session: Jia Ma Woodblock Printing Workshop Time: 2.00pm-4.00pm

Jia Ma (甲马) woodblock printing, a unique art form from Dali, Yunnan. Jia Ma, meaning “armour horse,” features motifs of gods, ghosts, birds, beasts, mountains, and vegetation. This art is deeply ingrained in the local culture, often used to counter misfortune or promote well-being by burning or displaying these prints at home. Jia Ma is not just an artistic expression; it embodies the Bai people's reverence for nature and the mystical, representing their hopes and spiritual aspirations.

In this engaging workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn about and create your own Jia Ma prints. This session is open to all, offering a hands-on approach to explore this fascinating Bai cultural artifact.

The Buckwheat Has Bloomed’

‘The Buckwheat Has Bloomed’ is a digital folklore artwork inspired by stories from the Yi creation epic “Meige.” It combines the “creation” and “making” parts of the epic, presenting a cultural panorama of the Yi people through digital forms. The work explores themes of culture, life, nature, and the cosmos' genesis, eruption, and decline.
